raw diet

Ever since that nasty migraine came to visit last week i've had his footprint on my skull. I feel like my head is broken. So, girl formerly known as michelle and i are on a raw diet to try to detox and get nutrients back into my brain. Being on a raw diet is HARD! What can you eat? Everything is cooked! So we've had fruit and salad for 5 days. Michelle sits at her art table every night and as if suddenly over come by an attack of Turrets will just yell.. "I WANT A HAMBURGER!!

How about sour cream and onion chips? That's RAW POTATO (deep-fried and coated with addictive chemicals, but it starts out raw at some point).

Does alcohol work with a raw diet?

(Seriously, isn't the cat in some peril unless you guys have some protein? Can't you eat nuts and seeds?)

TAFKAM can eat a gardenburger - can't she?

I've been a non-meat eater for.....ahem a few decades, and it ain't killed me.
I do think that you should switch to wine though, and give the corn mash a rest. Or at least use it for the mizzry in yer bones.

Be warned: I'm taking a full inventory of Banjo's treats!

Speaking of food.......Sara, have you tried Lucerne brand vanilla-flavored ice cream sandwiches from Safeway!!?? DELICIOUS!!!

I'm going to eat one, right after i finish this thick slice of leftover Nizario's pizza.

As far as potato chips are concerned; you cannot go wrong with Trader Joe's Hawaiian Washed chips. Just make sure that you leave the bag standing for a day or so - to let all of the oil drain to the bottom of the bag; it's much healthier and less fattening that way. Personally, I eat them with chopsticks - that way my keyboard stays clean, and my "productivity" remains at its usual peak levels.

no no silly goose.. she can't eat a veggie burger.. we're only eating UNCOOKED food.

I think that you need the Bill Clinton defense: What is cooked?

Ice cream isn't - is it?
Sushi? Have you been to Isobune, in the Japantown Mall? Toro is $6.95 a plate!!!

If you want to add some glamour to those ice cream sandwiches, buy yourself a tub of Kool Whip and use it like you would a dip.

Okay, now this is no cheeseburger but it is surprisingly good (my 9 year old daughter even likes it) and it will CLEAN YOU OUT (do NOT go running immediately after drinking it) and, weirdly, it keeps you pretty full at the same time.

In a blender combine:
2 cups water
1 teaspoon honey
1 frozen banana
1 cup fresh fruit
2 cups fresh spinach

Puree into creamy goodness.

Raw can be SOOOOO EASY!!!! You just need easy and delicious recipes :)

Are you drinking plenty of green smoothies? That ALWAYS helps with cravings and getting you loads of nutrients.

Check out my blog for a sampling of them if you're interested. And, please email me if you have questions, I love to help!

Cheers!

Oh Hey! Thanks for the tips! I made walnut tacos last night with guacamole and salsa.. it was actaully pretty good. Spinach? Green smoothie? Hummm... i think i'm scared of those.

Very nice suggestions from Kristen and Jen, and walnut tacos with guacamole and salsa sound fabulous. And yet...And yet...I must say that Ramón's offerings have a certain irresistible allure.

Lucky Day!

Michelle said that getting pooped on by a bird is good luck. Well, Halleluja! It's my lucky day!
