This is me and my friend Wesley at an amusement park this weekend. Amusement is a word he might not use to describe our day. Apparently, he hasn't been to a park like this since he was 9. I'll save him the embarrassment of counting how many years ago that was. As you can imagine... the rides at the park have changed... just a bit. No more choo choos and pony rides. We strapped him into a car that shot outa the gate at a 100 miles an hour and went straight up in the air.. held us suspended for a second or two and then dropped us.. face first.. toward the cold cement below.
That was is it for Wes. We rode the swings and bumper cars the rest of the day.

I'm on Wes' side; I don't see anything amusing about screaming at the top of my lungs and soiling myself in public.
It's not anywhere near as safe as riding my Ducati 888 at a 147 MPH on the back roads of California, keeping a sharp eye out for errant turkey vultures, suicidal squirrels, and territorial range cattle.
I'm not gonna put my life in the hands of cigarette-smoking, zit-faced, cell-yapping teen - no way José!
Gimme Safe entertainment!

That sounds AWESOME - what park did you go to? I must go there. :-)

we went to vallejo.. but i'm wondering if great america is even BETTER!!!
I love the look on Wesley's face. Last time I was on one of those rides, I made all kinds of promises to all kinds of gods to get me out of there.
I don't think I kept any of the promises. Maybe the one about flossing.
I have to say that I agree with Wesley. My question is always...Why??
Anyway, we all did have a good time when you and Michelle rode Shiekra. Note...I did not ride.
