Car rental

Michelle and Banjo and i are going to LA for a week to help take care of my mom. She had knee replacement surgery and will need some help getting around and cooking and stuff. We are renting a car for the journey down the coast. For some reason the lady at the rental car agency always tries to give us the worst car on the lot. The one with no tires...or the one that smells like a dead cat.. or you know, that one car on the lot that still has a tape deck. Michelle has a theory that they give us crappy cars because we don't dress up before we go to the rental agency. We usually just wear shorts and flip flops. So she got herself all dolled up this morning and high stepped out the door like Meryl Streep in The Devil Wears Prada.

So much for that theory. We got the EXACT same crappy car we got last time. I think Enterprise just has nasty cars.

it IS the exact car.. except they've let it go since we rented it last.. now the brakes scream when you slam em!

Too bad about the car, but Milo looks smokin'.

Maybe they give you the crappy car because you've never complained about having the crappy car? Give the some grief!

that's the thing Paul... i do complain.. the last car they tried to give me.. before I dressed up was missing two hubcaps and the front license plate had been torn off...."...are you kidding me?" so I'm ok with this little gem and am trying to press gingerly on the brakes ;)

I'm really surprised - Enterprise (at least out here) is amazing. They aren't franchises and the guy who owns the company gives big perks to his employees for good customer service. We had often joked that they must be owned by born agains because they were soooooo over the top friendly and accommodating - especially for NYC.

oh but we DO get great customer service... they just always try to give us the shottiest car on the lot...
i ask for a compact, not economy... just because it's easy to park.. being that i'm used to a 61 bug....
they're really nice there though...

Look at those sassy heals! I would have given you a car with bluetooth with in those heals!

Lucky Day!

Michelle said that getting pooped on by a bird is good luck. Well, Halleluja! It's my lucky day!
