The Really Big Show!

Michelle has been putting some artwork together for her big show on Friday. She finished this morning with the help of Banjo. I'm not pictured here but i helped nail a hanging thing on the back of one of the paintings. I've placed paper bags over the work so that i dont give away the content. If you're interested in what's under the paper bags.. come on out! The show is Friday, June 1st at the Space Gallery in San Francisco. 1141 Polk Street at Sutter. Starts at 8. Its a "collective art exhibition to benefit the Print Guild of the Art Department at San Francisco State University."

3 days!

Banjo and I have two reasons to celebrate today. First, its a 3 day weekend!!!!!!!!!!!!! and second, I finally have blonde hair!!!!!!!!!!!

A show of hands...

I'd just like a show of hands on this one... the other night i took Bart to Berkeley for my softball game. I took Bart back and got off at the 16th and Mission street exit at around 9:30. The mission can be a bit sketchy. I called Michelle for a ride but she was watching the season finale of Law and Order and didnt want to miss Star Jones' appearance. She asked if i could take a cab... uh... just raise your hand if you think that was the wrong answer.

She did come fetch me afterall :)

seatbelt

What a grand way to start a Wednesday. Michelle's car is a 1961 VW Bug and she's been telling me since she bought it that when you ride in cars 25 years old or older you dont have to wear a seatbelt. Mainly because the seatbelts just dont work. So there we were.. sitting at the corner of Market and Franklin.. singing a Gladys Night and the Pips song at the top of our lungs.. (michelle's the pip) and a copper spied us flailing free of seatbelts. Yep, he pulled us right over. BUT... michelle was'nt the only one to get a seatbelt ticket.. I GOT ONE TOO! Blast her and her non-seatbelt wearing ways!

I got a haircut and Michelle thought it would be fun for summer to dye my hair blonde. She gave it her best effort but i woke up this morning looking a bit like ronald mcdonald.

Bay to Breakers

This Sunday was the Bay to Breakers race in San Francisco. Its a 7 mile race but its actually just a big party where people dress up in costume and push kegs up the street. One of the oddities of the day were the naked people who run the race. I have a couple questions for those of you who do this. Where do you put your house keys? Does it hurt? and finally, do you have to ride the bus home naked?

body work

Yesterday, Michelle went to the supermarket and a couple of guys offered to do bodywork on her bug while she shopped. Yep, right there in the supermarket parking lot. They offered to get all the dents out and remove the rust.. for 60 bucks. They did a good job for a couple of guys in a parking lot. But.... now it kinda looks like a blue and grey quilt.
