I have to snap out of it! I cant stop daydreaming about what i'll be doing in Ireland. Last night I met my friend Amanda for a couple beers and she brought lots of books and maps and brochures from her trip to Ireland. She had a wonderful time there and she got me all excited about my trip coming up!

mothers and daughters

Michelle and Banjo are starting to have mother/daughter differences. Banjo is a teenager and just wants to talk on her cell phone and go to the mall with her friends. Michelle is trying to assert her authority but Banjo's not interested. It's a frustrating time in our house.

so, some of you warned me when i got the puppy that she might do this.. but.. i seriously never thought she would. Banjo has decided that cat poop is quite tasty. aaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaack!

my weekend

I had softball practice yesterday... and then we went to the albotross for a beer. There was a creepy guy who kept taking banjo with him and making her do tricks. I think he was a pet-o-phile! I got really mad at him and made him give her back to me. Then, i went to the emergency hospital because an ovarian cyst burst.

I feel better today.

Michelle got some fake boobs for fun. She doesn't wear them... they sit on the dresser.. and its weird to walk in and see two boobs just sitting there.

That's all i have to say about that.

My memory is finally coming back. I'm starting to get flashbacks from St. Patrick's Day. This is a particularly disturbing one. That's Michelle on rollerskates at Durty Nelly's bar doing something she calls "shoot the duck."

This is my friend Jorge. I like to call him jorgita.. pronounced like fajita. This is a shameless plug for him. He DJs at the Tunnel Top every Tuesday and Thursday night at 10 pm. If you go... and you're a hot chick.. wave at him... he'll like that.

sign language

I was thinking that sign language classes should be mandatory in school. Its really annoying to have turn down the music to talk to strangers. I dont really like talking to strangers. Strangers usually say really weird things to me. I'd much rather keep my music on and use sign language to tell them to go away. I think the world would be a much nicer place.

total

Since Michelle and i are going to Ireland soon... we're planning on total emersion into the Irish way of life this weekend. Lucky for us we picked St. Patrick's day to do it and not just some random Tuesday!

PHEW!

Banjo is in the hospital today. She's getting spayed. Poor little baby. I've been terribly worried about her all day. We dropped her off this morning with her favorite little toy.. a stuffed starfish. The nurse took her to her room and promised she could have her starfish.... but then the nurse forgot it and we had to remind her that Banjo LOVES that toy and needs it with her. That momentary lapse made me doubt her nursing skills. But, i just called and she's fine. We can pick her up after 4. PHEW! Hopefully, with the starfish firmly in her grasp.

all tuckered out

At 4 a.m. Roscoe.. my big fat boy cat.. decided to have a freakout and began yelling and running around. His antics woke up Ethel my girl cat who started yelling at him to shut up. This woke up Banjo the puppy who suddenly decided she had to go outside to go potty. All of which woke ME up... after taking the pup outside i watched CNN to make myself tired so that i could go back to sleep.. but the affairs of the world were so terrible that i could'nt sleep. i'm tired.

This morning the train was VERY crowded. I was stuck behind the tallest man on earth... with my face firmly planted in his rear-end... for 3 stops.

I heard that Congress decided to move daylight savings time up 3 weeks because America had a bad year. They voted to give its citizens more sunlight so we'd be happier. I can tell you.. by the looks on the faces of the people on the train this morning... its not working.

Michelle decided to stop measuring the coffee... now she just eyeballs it.

BIG SPENDER!

Michelle likes to play the poker machines when we go to the casino in Lake Tahoe. She bets one dollar and as soon as she wins 50 cents she cashes out. Nowadays, the machines don't spit out quarters. They give you little pieces of paper with a value on it. By the end of the evening she gets a stack of little pieces of paper all worth 50 cents and brings them to the cashiers who are more than happy to pay her 50 cents at a time.

Tahoe was fun! We got snow shoes and took Banjo for a few long hikes. It was a bit easier for us because the snow shoes keep you up on top of the snow. But little Banjo didnt have any snow shoes so she sunk. Luckily, she's just a puppy so she doesnt know that was cruel of us.

I joined a new gym the other day and with my new membership i got a free hour with a personal trainer. His name is Taz.. he has a mohawk. At the end of my FREE hour he sat me down and tried to get me to sign up for 30 sessions at a rate of 150.00 per hour. I, of course, dont have enough money to afford something like that. So.. now.. i have to hide from him.

Michelle and i are going skiing this weekend up in Tahoe. We're going to stay at a place that doesnt take dogs. But no worries.. we're going to sneak Banjo in by disguising her to look like a cool snow boarding kid....
